French Literature

The more the merrier! The Alliance Française Cambridge is happy to host not one, but two Online Reading Clubs!
Find the one that is best for you, or join both!

Hélène Lesbros

Teacher of French as a Foreign Language

Our clubs are led by Hélène Lesbros, graduate in MFL and American studies, specialised in modernist arts. She focuses on the intellectual, cultural and cognitive values of language learning, a way to learn that is reflected in her translation and creative writing. She is also a published translator of art books.

Book Club

The Book Club is a unique opportunity to discuss literature in a friendly and dynamic group environment. This club is about expressing your views and opinions towards an entire book, explaining why you appreciated it -or not-, and what moved you or made you laugh. 3 sessions are scheduled for this year, giving you time to read it fully and peacefully. You may join us for the entire period or choose which sessions you would like to attend.

Literature in Time

“Literature in Time” provides for an alternative to the Book Club. It focuses on the analysis of small texts from various authors selected by the cultural team. The sessions are mainly based on the discussion and analysis of the extracts with the other members of thegroup and the cultural team. The texts being smaller than an entire book, there are 7 sessions for this year,, but you can choose to join us whenever you desire.
